Welcome Seriously Serendipitous Play

Serendipity is the unexpected discovery of something valuable — a happy accident that leads to insight, connection, or a new path forward.

At Seriously Serendipitous Play, we believe that some of the most profound moments in life—both personal and professional—come from this kind of magical epiphany. That’s where LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® comes in.

LSP

What is LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®?

LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®, known simply as LSP, is a hands-on, minds-on method that uses LEGO® bricks as a communication, problem-solving, and reflection tool. Guided by a trained facilitator, participants build models to represent their ideas, experiences, and perspectives — then share the stories behind what they've built.
It’s not about building perfect models but thinking with your hands and unlocking powerful subconscious insights.

Below, you’ll see how our workshops are tailored to meet different goals depending on the context.

    Cultivating Connective Collaboration

    Settings:
  • Boardrooms: Fostering executive alignment, strategic communication, and shared vision
  • Classrooms: Enhancing the learning environment by creating a safe and engaging space for shared understanding and learning
  • Community Organization: Strengthening stakeholder engagement and facilitating inclusive decision-making to achieve shared community goals
  • Workplace: Cultivating cross-functional communication, collaboration between departments, and engagement in team projects.

  • Applications:
  • Team building dives deeper than icebreakers by leveling the power in the room
  • Conflict resolution through shared metaphors and storytelling, all parties objectively voice their perspective
  • Strategy development that includes every voice in the room Using hands-on models to represent perspectives, values, and goals, participants can articulate what really matters — and listen differently to each other in the process. This builds empathy, strengthens relationships, and lays the groundwork for more authentic collaboration.

  • Igniting Imagination and Innovation

    Settings:
  • Boardrooms: Designing the future by enabling executive and leadership teams to deviate from conventional thinking and traditional conversations
  • Self-improvement groups: Supporting growth, reflection, and personal development by providing a safe, non-judgmental space for self-exploration
  • Design Thinking Ideation: Facilitating innovation by enabling stakeholders to build prototype designs and gather feedback

  • Applications:
  • Ideation: Generating a wider range of original ideas and potential solutions by unlocking participants’ subconsciousness and bypassing creative constraints through individual and collective constructivism
  • Vision casting: Transforming abstract ideas into shared understanding, alignment, and commitments among stakeholders When people build with their hands, they think differently. LSP taps into that embodied intelligence, unlocking insights often unspoken in traditional brainstorming. Whether you’re shaping a new product, exploring possibilities, or designing your next big leap, LSP brings surprising ideas to the surface — often from the least expected places.

  • Increasing Inner Insight

    Settings:
  • Classrooms: Promoting self-discovery and personal development by providing students the opportunity to explore their values and aspirations
  • Self-improvement groups: Supporting self-growth through an expressive medium for individuals to explore their challenges and strengths

  • Applications:
  • Goal setting: Helping individuals define and visualize their personal and professional goals and create roadmaps for achievement
  • Positive psychology: Exploring concepts like strengths, values, growth mindset, and resilience Through metaphor and model-making, LSP helps individuals externalize their inner world — fears, hopes, and motivations. When someone builds a vision of their future, a challenge they face, or a version of their best self, they gain perspective, clarity, and agency. The process builds self-worth and courage, supporting people to move forward with intention.
